At the DO Sendai store, in addition to the soup bowls we have introduced so far, we have started handling new Homeland soup bowls!
Each soup bowl of different sizes and shapes is recommended as a new one for yourself or a gift.


Keyaki, Single-letter Soup / Homeland ¥5,280 (first photo)
This lacquer soup bowl pursues ease of use and beauty of design. A dish of Echizen lacquerware produced mainly in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture. Using a technique called wiping lacquer, lacquer is applied and wiped repeatedly, creating a unique gloss that makes use of the beautiful grain of zelkova. It is characterized by a unique constriction attached to the base of a hill. The colors are red, black, brown and beige.

Yamanaka lacquerware is a traditional craft of woodworking wheel grinding that has been cultivated for over 450 years in Yamanaka Onsen, Ishikawa Prefecture. A soup bowl made by Hata lacquerware shop founded in 1930, one of the workshops. In order to protect the technology of Yamanaka lacquerware and to make it easier to feel the goodness of woodcutting, we realize affordable lacquerware by devising the efficiency of woodcutting and finishing it with wiping lacquer. It is simple and easy to pick up, and the material is made of tap trees from Hokkaido. There are two colors, vermilion and black.

The small soup bowl of DO TABELKA, a cafe and kitchen handled by CLASKA Gallery & Shop "DO", is originally commercialized. Very simple and easy to pick up. In order to make use of the fresh grain of Hokkaido taps, it was finished with "wiping lacquer" using transparent raw lacquer.
