A base that delivers smiles to children throughout Tohoku
"Pokémon Center TOHOKU"

"Pokémon Center TOHOKU" opened in Sendai in December 2011 as the first official shop in Tohoku with the name of "Tohoku" to serve as a base for bringing smiles to children across Tohoku. It was reopened at Sendai PARCO in June 2017, and continues to the present day. At the entrance of the shop, Pikachu, the phantom Pokemon Victorini and Nyaoha will be greeted. The store is characterized by interior decoration inspired by trains, such as lighting with terminal information boards as motifs.
During the shop cruise, Aya Date was fascinated by a stuffed animal with a sleeping face of Mold Gon & Pikachu appearing in Pokémon Sleep. In addition to the tight feeling of touch, the large size feeling exceeding 50 cm in height is also a point that makes you want to hug and sleep together.
Ryuya Miyase, who has loved Pokemon since childhood, fell in love with the LED light of Nemash with a human sensor. "I've always been looking for lighting when composing. I think it looks good at the interior of my home!" says Miyase.

The capsule toy lined up in front of the shop is irresistible for Pokemon fans! While turning the capsule toy, the excitement was Max, saying, "Isn't the punch Pokemon come out?" Miyaze and Date get Heracross, Yanyanma, Killia, and Urgamos.
"I've been playing Pokemon in anime since I was in kindergarten. It was routine to go to school after seeing Pokemon. And buy the game too. Pokemon came close to me when I was young, so I loved it naturally. I've always felt like Pokemon was there. Call friends and play Pokemon cards too.

My favorite Pokemon are Ruka Rio and Kaiden. It's a bit deeper, but Ruka Rio needs to evolve, not just the level, but also the good. In order to evolve from Riorr to Ruka Rio, you can't evolve into Ruka Rio unless you keep walking and fighting or stroking Pokemon all the time. So I have a feeling (laughs). Pokemon has been around me for a long time, and its history is deep, and the swamps are deep.”

"It's nice if you wear the Pokemon Center and have a lot of goods that you can feel familiar with your favorite Pokemon! When I went to the store, there were a lot of small children. There were stationery, so there are some goods that can be taken to school and boasted with friends. After all, Pokemon has a lot of items that can be put in close proximity, so I thought it was amazing. Every time you go, you will feel fun!” (Mr. Date)

“I learned a lot from my family.
He has been saved.”

“When I heard that there was a Pokemon Center in Sendai, I said, ‘What’s there?” In the game, "Pokemon Center" is a place to recover Pokemon. If you go to enjoy it, there are lots of Pokemon goods! "What's really fun here?" Says Miyase, who remembers visiting Pokémon Center TOHOKU for the first time when he was seven years old. There are plenty of palm-sized stuffed toys "Pokémon fit" and various stationery, toys, game software and card games that are full of inside the store, and he likes Pokeka (Pokemon card game) with a serious expression.

What I like from an early age—undoubtedly, it has become an important essence that forms part of Ryuya Miyase, who has turned 20 years old. I asked Mr. Miyaze and Mr. Date what was the most impactful thing in forming myself from childhood.

Mr. Date: But is it the environment around you? Mom, dad and siblings are really big. Compared to a few years ago, there are many things I think "I've grown up." I think it's very important to understand things or not hold them alone. My family was pretty much talking, so I have been supported a lot. "Not only this idea, but also this idea" is very useful every day, whether in a workplace or in a private place, at any time. I have learned a lot from my family and have been saved.

Mr. Miyaze: I think it's family and the environment. Of course, there are many parts that have been sacrificed. You can't go to school events much or play with friends. But I think that all the environment had a good impact on me now. What I wanted to do was always straight.

Set fire on both hearts.
The energy of the mind that is the driving force

Finally, I asked about the reasons why I chose the current path at the expense of various things, and the driving force that still allows me to continue working as an expressionist.

Mr. Date: The fans who support me are really helping me. Now, a support message arrives directly on SNS, or when you stand on stage, customers who send red penlights look at me with a smile. That alone may have sacrificed until I came here, but I think there are many things that can only be obtained by myself now. I'm very happy to be able to say such words from the fans who support me, "I'm here because I have a mother." That's my driving force.

Mr. Miyaze: The reason I started this job was the desire to impress various people. It's a very big thing for me to do this job with that feeling. "I think we have to work harder."
